The Battle is Back! Kite, Windsurf and SUP action at the Bucerias Classic May 7 & 8 th!

Once again the Battle of Bucerias returns for more exciting head to head racing and fun for the whole family. This years event will take place on May 7th and 8th at Casa Blanca in the beautiful Bucerias, Nayarit. In the tradition of the event we invite all types of water users to come and join us and celebrate the beautiful beaches that we call home and participate in one or all of the disciplines: SUP + Kitesurf + Windsurf.

For 2016 we have added a PARTY! Saturday night with our friends at La Postal in Bucerias, registering for the event gets you a Pizza and a beer! AWESOME!!!

SUP Polo will be great fun for the whole family and we invite you to get your teams together and pre register, as SUP POLO is limited to 20 Teams, with qualifiers competing for the Nayarit State Championships! Water sports action at its best! Get a front row seat in Bucerias and don’t miss the action!

Bucerias Classic 2016 Paddle Board Kiteboard Windsurf

The Bucerías Classic is an event that has become a tradition in Banderas Bay. It’s a competition consisting of several aquatic disciplines: Kitesurfing, Windsurfing, Stand Up Paddle and for the second time: The SUP Polo State Championships.

On Sunday we will hold the famous Downwind GIANT Slalom  – which will represent all of the Disciplines  – Kite, Wind and Paddle – as the competitors wind their way down from La Cruz to Bucerias, a spectacular site!

Bucerias Classic consists of Windsurfing, Kitesurfing and Paddle Board races around the Bay of Banderas, taking advantage of the perfect ocean and wind condition of the area. Is a fun event for the whole family, and we promote sportsmanship and spirited competition.

Windsurf RACING!

Windsurfing has a long history on the Bay of Banderas, and is a great way to navigate the beautiful coast line of Riviera Nayarit! Starboard will be on hand with product demos and instructors if you are interested in trying this sport or buying gear.

Kitesurf RACING!

The long sandy beaches in Riviera Nayarit can be seen spotted with kites in the winds season from February to August, the Bucerias Classic embraces this tradition and brings together family and friends and some of the best competitors in the area to show their skills.

Stand Up Paddle RACING!

The SUP is the fastest growing water sport today, as you can practice it in any body of water. It consists of paddling standing on a table. Among its disciplines are Racing, Sup Surf and Exploring, among others. Bucerias is an excellent spot to practice Paddle Board.

SUP Polo!

The SUP Polo is the youngest sport in the Bucerias Classic. The game is played with two teams, each with three members. To play, you should always stand on a paddle board, with a paddle with a hole to throw the ball. The game is divided into two halves of 5 minutes each.
