MEXHOME PRESENTS: The STARBOARD SAYULITA SUP OPEN 2025 Race Results and Photo Recap!
The Starboard Sayulita SUP OPEN once again dropped into the waves of Sayulita, Nayarit and this 2025 edition was bigger and more spectacular than ever, with amazing waves and beautiful weather and the participation of world champions, young SUP prodigies, and local juniors to Masters categories the event became an epic celebration of adrenaline, talent, and pure passion for the Ocean.
On March 1st and 2nd, over 800 people gathered in Sayulita, Nayarit, for an unforgettable weekend. Elite athletes and rising stars dazzled the crowd in intense competitions of SUP Surf, Distance, Technical races, and the show stopper special event Starship World Championship Racing… leaving the audience in awe with their incredible maneuvers and skills. Every heat was a show of World Class Talent!
The Starboard Sayulita SUP Open wasn’t just for the pros. Kids, families, and recreational paddlers were also part of this vibrant experience. Everyone had the chance to connect with the sport’s top athletes, enjoy the unique energy of Sayulita, and immerse themselves in the surf culture that makes this place a paradise for SUP lovers. The Starboard Sayulita SUP OPEN has raised the level of competition, uniting world champions with emerging local talent, and creating genuine magic along the stunning coasts of Nayarit.
Names like Lucía Cosoleto (World Champion), Alazne Aurrekoetxea (European Champion), Itzel Delgado, Josselyn Alabi, Laura dal Pont, Ohian Aizpuru, and Max Torres (World Champion 2023) have combined with some of Mexico’s top athletes, including Alex and Trace Ostrowski, Cohen Rutherford, Daniela García, Summer Sage, and Jack Hodge and SUP Surfers like Felipe Hernández, Giovanni Bercian creating a first-class competition that captivated everyone.
